As the crisis in Sri Lanka escalates, PEARL is the foremost organization in the United States dedicated solely to stopping the suffering of innocent civilians there. PEARL's primary advocacy tool, the Action Alert, is an email message that is forwarded to thousands of Americans around the country. The recipients send these messages, usually concerning human rights violations, to their respective Congressional representatives. Action Alerts are issued roughly every two weeks, and are a mechanism by which our elected officials are kept aware of the plight of civilians in Sri Lanka. Regularly forwarding Action Alerts to your representatives serves as a constant reminder for them to maintain a constructive stance towards Sri Lanka. By joining our email listserv and sending each Action Alert to your elected officials, you become a champion for the voices of silenced civilians in Sri Lanka.

PEARL organizes biannual Lobby Days in which concerned activists from around the country converge upon Washington DC to inform their Congress Members about the situation in Sri Lanka.
