Project Truth: A Global Response to Sri Lankan Atrocities

Project Truth aims to collect testimonials and evidence of crimes committed by Sri Lanka's armed forces during the conflict. The evidence will be used to hold those accountable for these crimes through litigation in United States courts and public advocacy. PEARL works with a legal team of attorneys and investigators who are dedicated to pursuing these cases until justice is achieved. Evidence could also be used in other domestic courts and in the International Criminal Court.

Accountability is a necessary precondition to a sustainable peace in Sri Lanka. The recording of such evidence and testimonials is crucial in moving towards genuine reconciliation and collective healing for Sri Lanka’s population.
